A simple, mechanical early-warning device for your perimeter — no batteries, no electronics, nothing to fail in the rain. This alarm chambers a standard 12-gauge blank shotgun shell. When something pulls the tripwire, the firing pin drops and the blank goes off with a gunshot-loud report you will hear from anywhere on the property.
How it works
- Loads one 12-gauge blank (blanks are not included — any sporting goods store carries them).
- Multiple tripwire points allow up to 360° coverage from a single unit.
- Mounts to trees, posts, fences, or door and gate frames with the built-in screw holes or zip ties.
- Fully mechanical and reusable indefinitely — reset it, reload it, it's back on watch.
Where I'd use it
Camp perimeters, driveways and gates, barns, equipment yards, or any approach you want announced. The olive green finish disappears against trees and posts.
Safety — read this before you set it up
- 12-gauge BLANKS ONLY. Never load live ammunition, rock salt, or anything else. This device is not a weapon and must never be used as one.
- Treat a loaded unit with the same respect you'd give a firearm: mount it pointed in a safe direction, and unload it before handling.
- Keep away from children. The report is genuinely loud — hearing-safe distance applies.
