I didn't come to preparedness through a YouTube rabbit hole. I came to it through years of running toward the things most people run from.

I'm a Marine Corps Veteran and a firefighter/EMT working in one of this country's largest cities. I've pulled people from burning buildings, worked mass casualty incidents, and responded to the kind of moments that don't make the nightly news but stay with you forever. I've seen firsthand what happens in the first minutes — and hours — after everything goes wrong. I've seen what survival looks like, and I've seen what the absence of preparation looks like too.

But it wasn't until I became a father — and deepened my walk with Christ — that all of those experiences locked into place with a simple, clear conviction:

"It is my responsibility — before God and before my family — to make sure they are safe and prepared for whatever comes."

That conviction became Covenant Prep Co.
