Freeze Dried Uncooked Salmon Burgers

The freeze dried uncooked Salmon Burgers are a whopping 3/8-inch thick and 4 inches in diameter. All cans were sealed in an oxygen and moisture free environment.

Flash Facts:

  • #10 Cans (aka Gallon size can)
  • 12 Burgers per can
  • US Government/Military Surplus
  • 30 years shelf life
  • January 2026 production date

This freeze dried product is raw and does require cooking after rehydrating. Rehydrate burgers as soon as a can is opened. Use enough water to cover the burger. Handle burgers carefully as they may break easily. Soak for 10-15 minutes or until burgers are moistened and fully reconstituted. If any hard spots are felt, soak an additional 5 minutes.

Although the actual use is always classified on these kinds of bids, the available information is that these are purchased for the Executive Branch use. That usually means that these go to underground bunkers for continuity of government use by strategic military leaders, congressional members and sometimes even the White House staff or leadership.

Note: 1 pound of freeze salmon burgers equals to 4 pounds of fresh salmon burgers.

Each can contains 12 salmon burgers. To prepare them, just soak burgers in water for 10-15 minutes and cook on the frying pan, skillet, or grill!

These burgers come out of the can looking just like a salmon burger you would get at your grocer's deli - and there is no shrinkage when you cook them.

You can expect to get 30 years out of them in the can - and probably as many as 40 since there is no water or oxygen in the can to spoil them!!!

Once opened they will last:

  • up to 1 year in a Zip Lock bag with refrigeration once opened but not re-hydrated
  • up to 60 days in a zip lock bag without refrigeration once opened, but not re-hydrated.
  • up to 5 days in the fridge once they are re-hydrated

These are perfect for storing and using for many years! You can open just one can at a time and in 20 minutes cook one or as many of these as you want however you would cook any other burger!!! Perfect for camping, boating, traveling, or at the cabin.
