This is the cheapest insurance against that problem: a heavy-duty 5-gallon bucket with a snap-on toilet seat and lid.

What it is

A tough plastic bucket, 15 x 13 x 14 inches, that weighs 2.8 pounds empty. The seat and lid snap on and help contain odor. Line it with a toilet bag, use it, tie off the bag and set it aside. It stores flat-ish in a closet, a truck, an RV, or a garage shelf, and the bucket itself doubles as storage for the bags, litter, and toilet paper until you need it.

Straight talk

This is a bucket with a seat, not a chemical toilet. It works because it is simple: nothing to break, nothing to charge, and you already know how to use it. Pair it with our 12-pack of toilet bags and a bag of kitty litter or sawdust for odor, and keep it with your water storage so the whole sanitation problem lives in one spot.

Specs

5-gallon heavy-duty plastic bucket

Snap-on toilet seat and lid

Dimensions: 15 x 13 x 14 in

Weight: 2.8 lb

For emergency sanitation, camping, road trips, off-grid cabins, and job sites

Stand Ready.
